The Proposition

The Mrs. and I watched a movie by that name the other night. I don’t recommend it. It got all these great reviews, but I can’t see why. How can I go wrong with a western set in Australia? I aksed myself. “The Proposition” was my answer.

This proposition is way better though, and if I had a Playstation 3 I would agree in a heartbeat. Taco Bell is offering $12,000 in Taco Bell Bucks to the first person willing to give up their new PS3 to the Boys and Girls Club. As the article points out, this is enough Taco Bell Bucks to get a taco every day for the next 54 years. I’m not sure how long it would last me though. My favorite food is tacos.

It is probably for the best that I don’t have a PS3 to trade in. I don’t remember learning any rhymes about health that started with “A taco a day”. If there was a saying like that it would probably end with “means you’ll need a bidet” or some other reference to the digestive process.

Wii? Really?

So I am still looking forward to the Nintendo Revolution, even though it now has its official name, which isn’t Revolution, it’s “Wii.” (pronounced we) After the initial confusion as to how you pronounce it, my first thought was, Wii? (pronounced why) I mean the name just seems like an unwii (pronounced unwise) choice. What was so bad about Revolution? It seemed so much more powerful. How are people going to be able to play this system without feeling like a wiinie (pronounced weenie).

And when you buy games for it, how do you avoid getting into a “Who’s on first?” routine with the clerk at EB?

“Yeah, can I get a copy of this game for Wii?”

Oh, you mean for you?”

“Yeah, for me.”

Oh, ok. ’cause you said ‘we’.”

“right. Wii.”

Rockstar Table Tennis Website Launched

Rockstar games, makers of the Grand Theft Auto series, announced a few weeks ago that they are releasing a Table Tennis game for the Xbox 360. Now the website for the game is up and running so you can check out the excitement, or lack thereof, that the game is going to bring.

Personally, I have spent too much time already playing Backgammon on the Xbox 360, and compared to that, this game will be electrifying. It is hard to say whether it’s gaming innovation or a lack of game designer inspiration that brings us games like this. It makes me wonder how long it will be before a teeth-brushing game comes out for the console, and how many hours I’ll play it when it does.

Bob Ross Video Game, Finally.

Who doesn’t enjoy watching Bob Ross instruct us on painting some happy little trees? He makes it looks so easy and he’s such a friendly coach. The only problem is that your on the couch and you don’t have a palette, or a set of brushes, or any Burnt Sienna to mix with Indian Yellow. All you have is your remote control. Well, guess what? The controller for the Nintendo Revolution is a lot like a remote control, and now that’s all you need, because the Bob Ross video game is coming to the Nintendo Revolution. Apparently you move the controller in the air like a brush and your painting shows up on the screen along with Bob. This game right here is reason enough to buy a Nintendo Revolution when they come out. Mario who?

B-Boy game announced for PSP

Now I can finally show off my breakdancing skills without actually having any. Apparently you can create your own b-boy and form a crew and then battle it out b-boy/streetfighter 2 style. They don’t have a release date set for the U.S. yet, but when they do… who wants to see my b-boy moves?
